One year ago today, you clocked into your first episode of Dispatch. Since then, over five million players have joined the team, and we’re still a little stunned by that.
So first: thank you. 💙

Now buckle up: We have a lot to show you. New ways to play Dispatch, a first look inside the physical edition, a collector's edition art book, the announcement of the Dispatch mobile release, how to get tickets to a live concert of the soundtrack, new merch, and a month of giveaways.

Check out the infographic below for the short version, then read on for the long one.

AVAILABLE NOW: COMMENTARY & STORYBOARD MODES

Starting right now, Deluxe Edition DLC owners get two new behind-the-scenes playable game modes, free. And if you're not a Deluxe Edition owner, you can nab it for 20% off on Steam and XBOX.

CAST & CREW COMMENTARY

Over 16 hours of commentary across every episode, with two tracks to choose from in the Settings: Cast or Crew. Different choices unlock different commentary, so your playthrough could share new insights every time you play it. You’ll hear from Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, and more of the cast, plus the people who wrote, directed, and designed the game.

Check out this episode list below to see which members of the cast and crew are featured in which episode. Keep in mind that because different choices unlock different commentary, you may see a different lineup from what's listed below.

Dispatch Design Works.png

A few months ago, we announced Dispatch: The Album, a collaboration with Lost In Cult. Now, we’re expanding that partnership with Dispatch: Design Works, a hardcover book and collectible box that goes behind the scenes of the whole game, based on hours of interviews from the cast, the developers, and more. If you’re the kind of person who reads art books cover to cover, this one's for you.

  • What it is: A hardcover Design Works book and collectible box.
  • Where: Sign up for alerts at Lost In Cult and you’ll be the first to hear.
  • When: More details, including pre-orders, are coming at the end of November. Release planned for 2027.

COMMUNITY GIVEAWAYS

Sweepstakes Art_v2.png

It wouldn’t really be a celebration without a few giveaways, now would it? Starting today (the anniversary of the first episode) through November 22, we’re running giveaways in Discord as well as partnering with the superhero admins and moderators of r/DispatchAdHoc to get some free goodies in the hands of the players.

ENTER ON DISCORD

During a rare in-person moment earlier this spring, the entire AdHoc team came together to blow off some steam from the launch. In between team dinners and karaoke nights, every member of the studio signed a batch of posters to give away to members of our community.

Now, we’re running a sweepstakes for 10 of them on the AdHoc Discord. Visit the #dispatch-giveaway channel to enter.

Full terms and conditions here.

MEANWHILE: ON R/DISPATCHADHOC

Last, but certainly never least, we’ll be providing some merch boxes and digital codes to a community-run giveaway over on r/DispatchAdHoc. If you haven’t yet, head over there to read the full details of how it works.

You may also find the AdHoc team over there in a few weeks for a good old-fashioned AMA - stay tuned for details.

A NOTE FROM THE TEAM

A year ago, we had no idea whether anyone would show up for Dispatch. Well, over five million of you have so far, so we must have done something right. You’ve stuck around to debate choices, cosplayed as every member of the Z-Team, and sent more kind words to our inboxes than we know what to do with. Everything above is our way of saying “thank you”.

Here’s to whatever comes next, Dispatchers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Available Now: Commentary & Storyboard Modes
Q: Is the Digital Deluxe Edition available in all regions?

A: Regions where Dispatch is already available will be able to access the update. In a few select regions where distribution rules require it, a small fee for the Digital Deluxe Edition update may apply.

Q: I’m playing on Nintendo Switch. Do I need to do anything extra?

A: Yes. You’ll need to download the new DLC pack via the Nintendo eShop console app first.

Q: How do the Commentary and Storyboard Modes work?

A: You can find both modes in the “Settings” menu, where you can toggle between cast or crew commentary and final animation or original storyboard animatics. You can play Storyboards with Commentary off, or play them both at the same time. And just like the base game, your choices matter here, too. Commentary tracks change based on your selections, so you will gain new insight on each playthrough.

Q: Are the Commentary and Storyboard Modes available in other languages?

A: Commentary audio is available in English only with no subtitles, but the base game’s dialogue still shows subtitles in your selected language while the commentary plays. Storyboard Mode uses the original game dialogue in all available subtitled languages.

Dispatch: Physical Deluxe Edition
Q: When will my physical edition pre-order of Dispatch arrive?

A: We’re currently aiming for physical editions to begin shipping this holiday season. We’ll keep pre-order holders updated as fulfillment information firms up.

Dispatch: The Album
Q: When will the vinyl ship?

A: The three-record soundtrack vinyl set will begin to ship in mid-November 2026. (Please note: Bundles are shipped at the same time. That means if one of the items isn’t available yet, your entire order is held until it’s ready to be fulfilled.)

Giveaways: One-Year Anniversary Edition
Q: Where can I read the official rules?

A: Our lawyer says we have to post the official rules for the Discord giveaway, so you can read that here.

For the player-run r/DispatchAdHoc giveaway, head there to read the full details of how it works.

Dispatch: Night Shift, Live in Los Angeles
Q: Is it standing room only?

A: The majority of tickets available are General Admission which are standing only. There are a very limited number of VIP tickets, which are sold as tables.

Q: Before I splurge, what comes with the VIP tables?

A: VIP tables guarantee your spot and include seating. Those who are really committed to partying with a home base will be able to choose from a very small handful of table options. Tables can hold up to six guests (be sure to check the description when selecting on TicketWeb). If you’re rolling with a bigger crew, there are options that can hold up to 10 guests.

Q: Can I cosplay?

A: Yes! Whether you want to come in your Z-Team finery or simply dress to the nines, just be sure to leave your prop weapons at home.

Q: I can’t go and I’m dying inside! Will it be livestreamed?

A: Dispatch: Night Shift is a one night only, meatspace specific event. We’re bummed you can’t join us, but you can always host your own dance party at home.
